i first want to apologize becuase i know im not in the forum i should be, ive tried the forum for altimas and i could hardly get an answer plus i think i can find people with much more knowledge ,

i have a 1997 altima non abs , and its having charging problems , i have to admit that ive kinda messed up my car , i had a battery relocation kit to the trunk and in the process of installing it my friend cut some wires, after that my horn wouldnt work but i said w.e i dont care much about that , about a couple of weeks the i was using my car and it started acting weird , later i figured out that my battery was drained, i spoke to a couple of people and did some research , and the problem pointed to a bad cell in the battery and a defective alternator, i purchased a brand new battery and rebuilt alternator from my local auto parts store, and i had the same problem, i really dont have a clue what it is , ive heard stories about defective alternator from the store , but i really doubt it , so if anyone please could help me out i'd greatly appreciate it

If your car was running fine before you tried to relocate the battery and cut "some wires" , then you should probably fix them first.....After that check your grounds and check for blown fuses.

If you still have electrical problems and need someone to fix them I know a guy in Miami who's really good for anything electrical. He fixed my brother's PT Cruiser after we replaced the ECU and also a friend's Beetle whose electronic system had gone to hell

buy a new engine harness, have a professional install it, and don't let your idiot friend touch anything on your car ever again.

problem solved.
