I have two Androids and neither seem to charge...at least when the phone is dead. Is this normal? I've tried three cables...yes I am using the socket in the cubby. It seems to maintain the charge if I plug it in while thdre is still juice, but won't charge either phone when dead. The light on the charger indicates juice is flowing.

IDK about any socket in the cubby thing, but I and all my friends use Android and we have no problems. I use a cigarette lighter charger that is pretty flush with the outlet, has 2 ports, and allows a full 1A charge to be pulled from each port simultaneously. It was like $8 too.

It could be an issue with your cable and how Android works. Some USB cables are just for charging and have pins set up different, standard USB cables are not detected as an AC charging cable and are handled differently within Android.

the adapter is key and it has to be 1A or higher to make it work. you will need to have the right micro usb cable.
