Charcol canister, 240sx and 200sx the same?

Subject says it ... does anyone happen to know if the charcol canister for the gas evap system is the same on a 200sx and 240sx. I'm having a bit of a hard time finding one for my 240sx at the junkyard.

Compare the too as for the connectors on top of the cannister if there is the same amout of each connector and labeled the same thing.. im sure it will work fine.

Well yes, you do need one if you're trying to pass Arizona emissions. The twit put a pair of vice grips on one of the lines during the test and broke the nipple off! They said tuff luck, it must have been ready to break ... can't argue with the state here without getting a sheriff involved (or the swat team if you raise yer voice!).

Anyhoo ... to answer my own question, yes the Stanza carbon filter will work fine .. it's the exact same unit except for one minor detail ... the botton 1/2 inch ID nipple is a right angle instead of straight down. I had to buy about 7 inches of new hose for for it to connect properly.

you're talking about the big nipple on the bottom of the canister? On the stanza it is pointed straight down.
