charcoal canister question?

I have a sr20det, if I run the car without the canister will it effect the boost or vacuum?

No, take it out, but then again I don't know about CA standards and what you guys have to go through to pass smog and s***.

i've been having problems with my vacuum.

As long as you cap where the lines go to the intake manifold you should be fine.

As far as the line from the tank goes it will not affect engine vacuum however it does vent fuel vapors under the hood and could possibly cause a problem if a spark or open flame was near it.

As far as passing smog in california, you could have a sticker under the hood and it will fail.
