Well I've been having some problems with my car lately. After diagnosing, and pulling codes, we found out that I was having problems with my EVAP system. It turns out that my charcoal canister in the back of the car was leaking charcoal into the system, so my purge valve kept getting clogged and what not.Given the fact that a new canister is something like 600 from Nissan, I was wondering what other options I had. What do ya'll think about using a used canister?Or what about pulling the box out completely?

I was also wondering if my lines from the back to the engine bay might have gotten clogged. I've heard that it's not a very fun job to clean these out.

I think you can get away with using a used one. You can pull it out if you like, although it's not necessarily the best way to do it either. If you're talking about fuel lines, changing the hard fuel lines sucks. Although it may be a good time to do it along with the rubber fuel lines if you're gonna do it all at once but I think the fuel lines may also have been discontinued (the hard lines) from Nissan. Either way, I think it's really your call. Either way will do the job.

If you dont have emissions testing in your area, just order the right plugs for your intake manifold/exhaust and remove your EVAP system! improves performance and makes engine bay look clean
