Yes. The joys of working on cars.

There's plenty of Ted's ride around the site man, just search his name for the topics he's created.

Reason I'm asking in this thread instead of just emailing you is because I'm sure ppl will also ask the same thing.

Why did you choose that username? Is your CA bored out perhaps?

OK soo.. not that anyone is following this, but... Little bit of an update.

Finally Sprayed the car with Rattle Can. Rustoleum gloss black Lacquer. It has come out pretty damn good. I just started the 2000 grit final wet sanding today, and will be finishing that up within the next few days... and then the next sunny day i get (or maybe in 2nd block autoshop) will be applying the Rubbing Compound... and finally the wax job. I can't wait to have this all finished.(Yes, i know the pics are total crap. I will get better ones when I have completely finished the job. Its turning out far better than I had anticipated...)

ON TO PICS!

Finishing up the paint work, then tires.

I REALLLLLLLY need new rears.

after that, rear over fenders. my QP's are beat to hell.

Those are the major things...

at this point, I really just need to keep saving money.

A friend of mine from school is going to buy my old coupe for 2500. He's listing his truck up on craigslist and as soon as it sells, he's picking up the old coupe.

all that money will go straight to my parents, and I'll finally be broken even again. $2530 is a deep hole to be in.

but then everything I make will be mine again and I'll be able to start getting serious about the car.

Down-the line plans include a KA-T and i need to do something about the open diff. probably go welded, at least for a semi-long term temporary... suspension is taken care of, wheels, well, i'm happy with the celi-supras for a while. body, like i said, just want to get those overfenders.Interior, you've seen the basis for that, a few posts up.uhhh oh yeah. and INSURANCE.

but it feels good to have a secured buyer not just a "dude I want your car"its a "I've got dibs, I'll give you 25. just gotta sell my truck"May not seem that promising, but his temporary registration is up at the end of Feb and he wants to sell it before that happens.

Thanks a lot! Yeah, 14's aren't baller by any means, but at least I don't look at the wheels with [in regards to sunkenness] disgust like I did with the alloys.

er ca20det is a ca20e engine shortblock from a s12 200sx with the head from a ca18det they are decently powerful engines and fun but they have issues with the weak piston rods due to their longer length.

Hmh. Learn something new every day.

And I'm quite sure it will. After all, I'm the only one who can control the fate of this car (theft and not-my-fault collisions aside) so I have plenty of faith in my own work by now.

It will look 30 times better once i finish up the wet sanding and apply the rubbing compound, and then once i get the rear over fenders.

God am I looking forward to all that.

K, finished all that up... I could have done a better job if I had spent more time on it... but alas, I am very very lazy and even more impatient......

But it turned out pretty damn good... especially for a first time painting, and only like $90.

Overfenders are next on the list. Just gotta get the slut sold and my debt paid off first. Wheels, I can wait... As I've said before, I don't mind the celi-supras. I kinda like em.

I know, its weird... But I actually kinda like it, it makes it really really hard to see the rear shelf where the speakers sit... One less reason to try to break into my car.

Ya know, its almost a shame, I saw you driving that hachi just like a week before, and my jaw almost dropped. Thing was clean.

Deep down, I want a corolla. One day I might buy one... but I love the silvia too much to give it up for one.

I'd love to have one of each though.

Not too much of an update...

I just recently replaced the clutch mc, feels so much better now.

...Just figured I'd post this up cuz I finally uploaded this, took a drive with a homie (KonaaRSN on Nico) to the local JC and snapped a couple of pics... Sadly this is the only one that came out good, but it is worth it, cuz I really do love this pic.
