Hey guys, i searched for this and to my surprise i didn't find any writups on changing wheels studs. It seems pretty straightforward, but how do you get off that little metal plate thats right behind the brakes, it seems like in need that off to get to them, and i don't know how to do it. this is on a 91 240sx front wheel studs.

you don't. rotate the hub to that section where the caliper was. Thread on a lug nut till the face of the lugnut is pretty flush with the stud, and give it a good square whack on the head of that and you'll get one popped out lug nut real quick. Repeat till you get em out. To put them in, pop the stud in from the back of the hub, put a couple washers there and use the lug nut to pull the wheel stud into place.

make sure when you are putting the new studs in to line the grooves on the stud (they keep the stud from spinning) to the grooves in the holes (where you just removed the old studs) so you don't round off the hole, because if you round off the hole the studs will spin and not tighten when you put the lug nuts on and you will have to buy new hubs.
