I bought a new instrument cluster because my odometer just turned off. Im worried about the mileage though . when I change the instrument cluster will the odometer register the miles that are already on the car or will it register the miles on the new odometer???

It will show the miles on the other odometer. The miles stick with the odometer. Now I dont know if the ecu stores miles or not. If you want the miles changed then you will have to take it to a nissan dealership. NOw i'm assuming this is on a 2000 max. Right?

They reading you will have on the ODO is what the New/Used ODO you will put. You might then have to go to the DMV to have a affidavide.

yea this is important to sort out if you plan on selling your car in the future, this could cause some problems with legality issues
