Just got my Versa 2 weeks ago, and in love with it! But want to change the interior dome, map, and cargo lights......I looked in the owners manual for instructions how to get the covers off and found they are less than complete They explain to use a "covered" tool to "pop" the one side of the cover (which I can do), but doesnt say what to do about the other side????? Do they pop in or pop out ???Or in the case of the map lights do they just push all the way up or pull all the way down????

Any help would be greatly appreciated........

BTW was considering installing new HU for stereo but the warning on the site have me a little scared of the airbag and such.....

try to use a plastic wedge.i carefully used a very small flat head screw driver.the dome light cover pops out on one side(notch is visible) and swings out on the other side.

map lights pop out. pry down with small screw driver gently!

trun light pops out also on one side (notch visible)

I replc'd all mine with L.E.D. bulbs.the bulb is called a "festoon" type.I think the size is 31 millameter(M.M.).

the trunk was one mil smaller!

yeah, the trunk one is smaller, but you can stretch the brackets... make sure you use LEDs so it doesn't overheat or melt stuff...

I used the ever handy swiss army knife to get my covers off quite successfully...

personally i didnt use anything but my hands. for the dome and the map lights i use my fingers to take them off, its quite easy. then for the trunk light i poped out the plastic piece of the right tail light by the trunk light, then i put my hand through the hole and pushed out the light. Shouldnt take u more that 5 min to do all of them.
