CHANGING THE ALT/ AC COMPRESSOR BELT 1997 MAXIMA Serp Belt

Hello all--I would like to know--if the belt change is an easy task--It looks easy--as i look down by the Idler pully--and i see some sort of an adjusting stud stairing me in the face.. Thanks for any help!! Mark

There are 2 drive belts, not just one. I would suggest changing both at the same time. In order to change the belts, you need to loosen the nut that keeps the tensioner adjustment bolt from moving. Loosen that and then loosen the tensioner adjuster bolt and the belt should come right off.
