I feel kinda dumb asking this question, but how do I get into my tail light to change a burnt out bulb? It's an '06 Altima, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to open it up to get at the bulb. Thanks in advance.

when you get the carpet part off, you will see the rear side of the tail light and it will be as simple as twisting the old bulbs out and twisting the new ones in... good luck

When you get the carpet off there is two nuts you need to take off. Once off the whole light housing will pull off and give you access to the bulbs.

Unfortunately, pulling back the carpet does not expose the rear tail light assembly, like I was expecting. It wasn't that simple.

You're right, this is what had to be done, but I wasn't sure when I first looked at it.There are 2X8mm. nuts, plus another 2 locating pins. The tail light assembly was in there pretty good, and had to be forced out. Once out, then the bulb sockets are exposed, and the bulbs are easy to pull out. I liked it better the old way, when all you had to do was open the trunk and pop out the bulbs. Why can't they keep it simple anymore?I can hardly wait when one of my headlight bulbs burns out. That looks like a real pain too.Anyway, thanks for all your input.
