If you are changing plugs on your 2.5 do yourself a favor, go to Amazon, and get this socket; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BU ... UTF8&psc=1 . Its only $9.99 and it works great. It has metal springs or “fingers” that keeps the plug from falling out when you take the old plug out or install a new one. It worked for me.

Thank you for sharing your find. How is this different from the plug sockets at the hardware store and the auto parts store? I think I got one at Kragen auto parts and another at Orchard Supply Hardware and they both had rubber inserts to hold the plug in place and they both fit the same and both were less the $10 off the shelf however both were 6 point sockets. Is it the thin wall that makes this one special or the metal fingers that are better than rubber ones or it's the 12 point instead of 6 maybe?

If you can get a socket locally that works that would be fine, but the Nissan is a 14MM socket and I could not find them locally anywhere. I did find one at AutoZone and it was worthless, a waste of money. Most of the sparkplug sockets you will find will be in standard American sizes like 5/8 and 13/16.

I see. Metric and Standard would make a difference for sure! The right tool always makes the job easier. Good stuff and thanks for sharing!
