Well i think im going to try changing my spark plugs soon. I don't know the for sure last time they have been changed. My car still seems a little sluggish after i replaced the knock sensors, harness, fuel filter, air filter, oil and ol filter. It's not showing any codes so maybe it's just me thinking it's running different. Any other ideas what it could be? About how long does it take to change the plugs on a y33? Is it very hard to do? Also are there any plugs you guys reccomend other then oem?

Easier than the G50 - looks like 1-3 hours.

NGK as per OEM, 5 heat range.

Did you clean the plenum, EGR and IAC valves, EGR tube in the plenum, plenum and lower runners and TB?

I just finished up this little task. Was not bad at all. Have a couple of different extensions with a wobble end. The first plug socket I grabbed would not release the plug....changed sockets and the problem went away.

thanks for the links, and the write up maxnix. I've cleaned the throttle body, i started to take apart everything else and then realized i didn't know what i was getting myself into. I did all that on a ford 4.6 v8 before so i thought i could handle it, but it was more difficult then i would have guessed. So probably save it for another day when i have more time. or take it to my mechanic and have him rip that stuff off so i can clean it all out good.

Dd you use OEM knock sensors? I just replaced a set of K/S on my 99 with "OEM" but were not and they didn't work. When I replaced them with genuine Nissan parts then the car perked righ up.

Plugs are easy and cleaning out the etire intake will net you close to nothing for your effort or money.

Yes the Nissan KS have a relatively unique resistance and acoustic sensitivity that the ebay chinese copies may or may not emulate.

The later model vehicle you have the more likely the clones may be found out.

Yes i used real Nissan oem knock sensors. Wouldn't the car throw a code if a coil or injector was bad? Bc nothing shows up on the diagnostic test.

An injector may be partially clogged and not show a code. Why BG44K or Redline SI-1 injector cleaner recommended just before oil change along with use of tier 1 premeium always.

Should i buy the stock NGK's or the iridium NGK's? Both will fit, and 5 heat range.
