Changing Shifter on 2011 SL with CVT

Anyone been able to change/shorten the automatic shifter? I am 6'5 and my knee sits on top of the shifter. I was trying to find a shorter shifter.
I removed the shifter cover per service manual but don't have any good ideas on building/buying a replacement

Anyone have any ideas?
