I was wondering if the mass air flow sensor from an infinity q45 would plug up to my 93 240sx. The sensor is significantly bigger which im thinking would supply more air=more hp. If not what about from a maxima? Im looking for gains.

you would need a piggyback to control it (SAFC??)the range of airflow that the MAFs are able to read is different. MAFs output a 0-5V signal based on the airflow. Max air flow on a KA MAF (outputs 5V) may only be 1/2 of max airflow on a Q45 MAF (outputs 2.5V). If you just switched them out, your ECU would see that 2.5V and not be able to account for the extra air.

What would i need to efectivly complete the swap, a new computer? What is a safc? I would really like extra air flow and have the right stuff to read it.
