Changing out seating on the QX-56

Okay I bought an 04 QX-56 with captain chairs and now two kids later I would like to have the bench seat instead. Is this possible to pull the mid section captain chairs and console and change to a bench seat. Anyone ever made this change or can it be done?

Sorry, but I did not find out anything. The only thing Infinity said was that if I wanted to switch from captains to a bench seat it would be very costly. They would have to build the seat from scratch with new parts. I guess it is not one complete bench seat.

Actually there are a couple of options that you have to switch the seats. At least, this is what I found in my research to change the capts chairs to a bench in my 05 Armada.1) You can purchase the middle seat section and replace the center console. The BIG downside to that is that you have to remove the armrests from the outside seats and saw off the metal arm. (not a very good option in my mind!)2) You can buy the middle bench and everything is plug and play. From what I understand, the middle bench is a 3 piece unit: left, right and center.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a 2nd row bench to purchase anywhere near to me from Craigslist, auto forums or junk yard.

2008-2010 you can find someone to swap with but 2004-2007 have different sensors in them.
