changing out engine help question

i have an 08 versa hb 114000 m on it and im changing the eng sence the timing belt blew out and messed the eng . i have another eng with 25000 setting on the ground and the old eng all disconected except for exhaust and trans. ?? question is do i need to pull trans with it ? do i need to support trans??? looked for a repair book online but couldnt find one anyone ever pull there eng from the versa this will be my 4th eng pull but the first with this car

you have 2 options both require you to pull trans out there is no way you can not take out the trans when pulling a fwd or vertical mounted car unless you have enough room. there is a shaft that goes into the xmsn from the engine and it is too long to seperate from engine capartment .1st opt is easiest and simplist pull out from above with a engine hoist both engine and xmsn do not undo engine to xmsn bolts. second opt you would have to have a engine hoist tilt and tilt the xmsn so it can come out from the bottom. use help when pulling engine the weigh like 300-400 pounds
