changing out a 300zx MAF into s13

I was wondering if anyone new all the details on switching a 300zx MAF sensor into a 1991 240sx. Heard it could be done with that or a mustang gt MAF but must be reflashed with the ford MAF. Does the 300zx MAF need to be reflashed also??
