changing original fog lamps on a m45

hi one of my fog lamps is broken on my 2006 m45. any idea or specs to changing it as i bought a new one and would diy. thanks

Easiest way is to remove front lower grille surrounding the fog lamp:

You'll need to stick a screwdriver in the hole just to the side of the fog lamp opening (step #2 in above instructions), you can see the hole in the pics - I removed mine to paint them since they were getting a little ratty and chewed up.

Then remove fog lamp:
Image

I believe you can use the Sentra fog lamps (forget the years) as a direct and cheaper replacement.

good luck with the install, I'm thinking about switching mine with the new VLEDs LED fog light bulbs once the weather warms up and I come into some cash.

thanks craig so if i read this correct then i have to remove the bumper to change the fog lamp

No, not whole bumper, ONLY the black plastic lower grille piece (photo). I couldn't get a shop towel around the edge, so I weaved some thin, but strong rope through some of the holes to give me some leverage to get one side off, then it was easier to rock/move the other side out.
