i just put in 20w50, is it ok to go to 10w30 or 10w40 for my next oil change?

I have a '94 Sunbird for a beater and it leaks oil really bad so I just dump whatever (20/50,10/40 etc.) into it and it still runs. I doubt it will hurt a Nissan at all if this pos domestic is still running.

If you dont have a turbo or autocross in summer weather probly no need for a 50 weight.( but they are pretty stable if you do a lot of milage hard driving between changes)

I recommend a MOBIL1 0w-40 or SynPower 5w-40 for winter. If in your CA location it never gets cold you cna keep in teh 50 weight, if it ever gets close to freezing tho consider the above recommendations.

I do a Mobil 5w30+15w50 blend for winter, straight 15w50 for summer. (I drive my poor car hard)
