Nissan recommends 5w30. I don't think going to a heavier weight oil is a good thing, especially in winter.

VQ: ~5 qts w/oil filter change

I found 4.5 to be perfect with an oil filter change on the 2.5S coupe.
your best bet is draining it all, adding 4 then keep pouring in little amounts and checking the level with the dipstick until you have the right amount. (it's easy to add more oil if needed but to take it out when you accidentally put too much is a b****)

you definitely want to use 5w30 though.
