Well,

After much heated debate and turmoil, I decided to remove the header manifold and go with a conventional w/ a twist-style log unit and mainly for space-saving purposes. Flow will not be hampered by the logs because of it's 1.5in. runners and where the turbo is positioned. I had to attach my 60-1 drag turbo on it just to get the car home because the the original turbo is being rebuilt and is also getting a new twisted wheel in the front (my secret) with a bigger housing. Attached is some pictures of the car, the manifold in raw form and the turbo.

I'll say this, I use to have a hard time spooling the 60-1 turbo, but with this style manifold, full boost comes on at about 5500rpm and 20psi breaks the drag radials at 80mph on the highway (just ridiculous). I'm in love.........:D

Enjoy,

Dee

5500rpm? jeez, what did the old mani spool it up at ?stage3/0.63 hot side, I'd imagine

Thats a common turbo for starion 2.6s, but they have the lungs to spin em up like they're little t3s. For my starion I had my eye on this precision turbo on the probe. http://www.sdsefi.com/features/nov03probe.htmThis same probe owner told me his internal wastegate holds 22psi boost rock solid, and get this.... he recently replaced ONLY the 60-1 compressor wheel and gained 40 hp to the wheel! I think thats rather impressive, especially for a $700 turbo

those twin cam mazda swaps seem to be putting the smack down. Nice probe!

did that guy ever get the perfectpower standalone back to u ?

Quote »5500rpm? jeez, what did the old mani spool it up at ?
I actually use to use this thing on the stock manifold with a T3 flange welded to it. It spooled-up nearly the same with useable boost around 4600rpm, but it wasn't a terror untill the mid 5000s. The difference with this manifold is that it's waaayy more responsive down low and gets me to boost country more definitively less the lag issues I experienced before.

Quote »stage3/0.63 hot side, I'd imagine
Correct.

Quote »those twin cam mazda swaps seem to be putting the smack down.
We have a guy here making good HP with those motors, but always seem to break them on the dyno. I've also gotten the chance to race him and he got the smack put down on him and with the same CA I'm using now, but in the old sentra that I crashed.

Quote »did that guy ever get the perfectpower standalone back to u ?
I got the call that he would be wanting me to reinstall, gave them a $250 quote and never heard a thing about it again.
