on thursday (12/27/07) my sales rep had called me to let me know that my versa was in and that i could take delivery.

the day after thanksgiving we had struck a tentative deal and was told that they'd have the versa i wanted to my specs on its way. after i signed the contract the other night, i asked him on the side if they had ordered it for me. he said no, but this dealership wasn't stocking any SL hatches w/ convenience and sport, i figure the sales managers would encourage the team to bump buyers up to sentras if they wanted such features. anyhow, it still took about a month for me to receive the car even though i didn't hafta put down a deposit. i'm still suspicious that my sales rep (thanks kaipo at king windward nissan) probably vouched for the specific model to his sales manager, knowing i was pretty much a done deal. no matter...

i'm very happy to say that i now own a 2008 versa SL hatch, magnetic gray, CVT, convenience package, and sport package.

i'm enjoying the car very much and there is definitely a little bit of a learning curve to all the features as compared to my (now traded in) 2004 sentra.
