Its about that time that I perform the major fluid changes for my car...Radiator fluid drain and replacement...transmission fluid replacement along with an oil change and change the air, transmision and fuel filter....I have a co-worker that has a full garage and lift and works on bmw's...so made it a date for me to come over this weekend and get all this done with me there hopefully learning so that I can learn about my car in addition to me just thinkings its cool to watch and know what i read about all the time...a few questions is it hard for a fuel filter change? Or a transmission filter change?.... Hopefully it wont take that long for these items to be performed/replaced. Im going into the dealership to get the air, transmision and fuel filter and will probally go to discount auto to get the fluids....any reccomendations on this procedure?

transmission filter is nonserviceable. you HAVE to have the trans fluid from infiniti. never saw a reason to do a fuel filter unless there was a problem. make sure coolant is bled good or you will have an air pocket and it will overheat on you

Speaking of maintenance, does anybody ever change the cabin air filter? I've ignored it in past cars and never had a problem.

Welcome to NICO

Here is a photo of my cabin filter after 18 months.

not changing it means the crap in the air is going into your lungs.

You'll eventually realize the problem when you become an old farht like me.

I just purchased another new one and will be replacing mine annually. Do a search on this site. It is very easy to do & takes less than a half hour. Your air filter should be changed regularly also to prefent the MAF from getting f#@ked up

Here is another photo of my air filter with only 8k miles on it. I change mine regularly also. Again do a search on this site for how to do it. Very easy to do.

Thanks telcoman, a picture is worth a thousand words. I better add that to my maintenance list.
