Hello ..

I have 2011 M37 .. my tires is 245/50R18

Can I go for 235/55R18 for a comfort ride ?

Is it fit and OK to go on ?

I think they would be less comfortable since the tires would be lower profile but wider. You would want taller tires for a bit softer ride, but your handling will suffer.

235/55 R18 is lower profile than 245/50R18 ?

what is your suggestions for taller tires ?

I don't care about handling that much, My speed less than 60mph ..

Your right Im sorry. I was remembering it opposite, I was thinking the first category was profile size when it is actually the second. So 235/55/R18 would be a little bit more comfortable. But since you are going for comfort you should also make sure and get some tires known for being very low noise and comfortable running, usually grand touring type tires. Something like these:

One issue is while the 55 is a greater percentage of width it is a greater percentage of less width....the 235 will stretch out more on the rim as well.

To get taller tires you should look at 17" rims.

If you do have the Akebono's then you are absolutely correct in that 17 inch rims won't fit (may not fit with non-BBK either but I believe they would). Dropping down to 235 width with more height (55%) is not going to do much for the most part either as you are only talking + .3" sidewall difference. Now, changing to tires with less of a speed rating may result in a softer sidewall....something to look into at least.
