Hi Everyone,

I thought this might be helpful since I read information online that wasn't right for my car.

I wanted to remove and replace and clean up the High Pressure and Low Pressure hoses from the Steering Rack, and I didn't want it to leak fluid on my driveway, so I wanted to put some plugs in there to keep the fluid in. However, what I didn't know in advance is that the power steering line holes were two different sizes. I had read that both plugs would be M14 x 1.5, and that slowed me down a couple of days while I ordered the correct size plug.

Obviously it would have been nice to have these plugs on hand before I began this job.

The high pressure hose fitting is M14 x 1.5 thread pitch.

The low pressure hose fitting is M16 x 1.5 thread pitch.

I hope this helps. :)

One of my fondest wishes is that Nissan would put thread, length, and grade into their fastener descriptions. But.... nah.

Well all the brake/clutch lines seem to be M10 x 1.0. :) I plugged those too. I'm getting ready to paint the engine compartment. It looks more awful than a crime scene in there.

Oh you mean ALL of the fasteners! That would be nice! I'd like that too! I might have to catalog that for the future! :)
