changing interior color??

well i have the opportunity to buy a 89 coupe for about 1k with a decent body and prefect runnin order.. 5sp, only thing is that it has a tan interior which i hate... my question is can the black dash from a hatch be used and waht abotu the interior pannels im guesing they'll have to come from a coupe as well.. thanks

Yes, you can use all the black interor panels. As long as you get the right ones for your model. Worst case you could just paint it black if you wanted to do it for cheap. Watch for stuff on ebay. I see used interior panels on there all the time.

Can't you dye certain things? I know several online vendors sell interior (primarily for leather and vinyl) dye kits, and I think they work pretty well.

On a related note, has anyone here ever dyed the cloth/velour-ish inserts in the S14 door panels? If so, what did you use and how did it turn out? I've got black door panels with tan inserts, and I want the inserts to be black.
