changing expansion valve in 13?

my a/c hasnt worked since i bought the car 5 mos ago..the previous owner installed a new engine in car and probably never recharged the system.. i bought a r134 conversion kit and charged the system and the compressor now kicks on but still only blows hot air.. i havent put gauges on it yet(doing that today) but i believe it is probably the expansion valve...any other possibilities? my main question is how do i get to the valve? the service manual looks like it is inside the evaporator case but isnt really clear..anyone changed it before? and what was all involved..i dont really feel like pulling out the case if there is another way...thanks for any help

sorry..made a noob mistake and asked before searching..thats what i get for being impatient..i found an old post about it so i will check that out..i will let yall know if i hit any snags
