It is a possibility. Buy yourself a unit from the 1973 240Z, you will be happier than you would with stock.

I bought the 73 clutch for 98 brand new retail from advance (I got the employee discount.) The reason I suggest it is because it has near stock pedal feel but has a pressure plate that is 60lbs stronger than the 240sx, which on my last 240 with basic mods, would get 3rd gear scratch. Plus it bolts up and is cheaper than stock. A friend and myself will be making an aluminum flywheel prototype soon, luckily I get one for the cost of materials, and all I have to do is be a test dummy. What else do you want to know. I won't say I am the most knowledgable, but I do know a LOT about the 240sx.

i believe the 240z uses a 225mm clutch and flywheel. so, all you need is the standard clutch kit.

the 79ish 280zx's have a 240mm flywheel and clutch and would only work if you had both. it would increase your holding capacity, but you have to buy a flywheel from the 93ish hardbodies with the ka24e. i believe a 280zx turbo clutch kit with like an organic stockish clutch can hold 350 ft lbs

changing a clutch is about the difficulty level of pulling the engine out, sometimes its more of a PITA i just pull the whole engine and transmission out

you can get fsm's on http://www.phatg20.net/
