Changing bad Bose radio for another Bose in 2001 Pathy

Hello, new to the forum. Just picked up a mint 2001 LE fully loaded with 114k miles. Always garaged kept, well maintained. It has the double din bose radio with separate changer. The old owner said it had worked about a year ago, but now it just clicks and makes noises, nothing from the speakers. I don't really feel like doing a complete system as i live in not a great area of Baltimore, i prefer my windows intact.

Have the ability to buy and change this radio to 2002 Pathfinder Bose radio, double din but built in cd. I have wheel controls as well. Door # CR040. If not, does anyone have an alternate solution? I'm older, i like my cd's and tapes... (Yea yea, make fun....) Plus, nobody is going to steal my 17 year old factory radio.

I came from a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee where the forums are pretty impressive. Before that I actually owned 3 Nissan 300zx's 84 T, 87 T,88 NA. I missed the Japanese "feeling, smell, character" So I came back.
