alternator died going to pick up a used one any thoughts on which would be better to get its for an s13 and any shortcuts on instling it cuz damn is that thing barried under powerstirring pump and intake manifold//

on my 1990 sohc it wasnt too bad. removed the belts. put it on a lift, unbolted it from undneath, pushed some hoses out of the way and it came out, rebuilt one went in fairly easily as well. 30 min of work.

Do it from below the car. You can reach each bolt easily. Just one bolt up top and one on the bottom, on the bottom you have to hold the back nut while you turn the bolt. Then crank that sucker out.
