Hi, I'm at the stage of assempling everything back together on my SR swap. As recommended by a lot of members, now is a good time to change out all the rubber hoses. However, I'm not too sure about what rubber hoses/vacuum lines to use and where to buy them.

I've heard the best way is to take the old hoses to Kragen/Autozone, then cut it to my desired length. Are these hoses in local store having the same quality as the factory Nissan ones?

There are basically three jobs for the hoses: delivering air, oil and water. Are the hoses for each of the jobs using different material or it is the same rubber hose/vacuum line that does all the job?

Lastly, there are hoses like the heater hoses that has a "S" shape, do I have to get factory "S" hoses for it or I can just bent a universal hose?

Thanks!

you can get the vaccum hoses from kragens, pepboys, autozone, napa. you just need to know the diameter theyll give however many feet you need. ive replaced all the vaccum hosing in mine to there ok vaccum hose is vaccum hose,

as for the other hoses yea you need to buy separate hoses for coolant and oil there made differently. try to go with preshaped hoses as much as you can because the uni ones are not as strong as the ones made for that car.
