changes between S13 and S14 KA's

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Wondering if anybody knows what changes, if any, there were between the S13 and S14 ka24de's. and dont say the OBD, duh. :)

Ummmm...

Lot's of sensors are different.

S14 dist has internal coil, S13 is external

Heads, while physically interchangeable, have different castings and valve covers...no performance difference.

Most S13s had secondary butterflies.

S13 cams are better for most years...

Exhaust manifolds are different.

Otherwise, the bottom end is basically the same (bore, stroke, compression ratio, etc...)

Basically, there are NO significant differences in the mechanical parts of the head/block...
