So, I got all new q45 rotors and used calipers with new metal matrix brake pads for the front brakes.

I got everything installed and bled the front brakes. So I took the car for a test run, slowly at first to make sure they worked. And they worked fine. There was some rubbing that you could hear, but I think that is because of the new brake pads and new rotors, if I could confirm this that would be great.

I heard that you need to do some hard braking to break in the rotors, so I started braking fairly hard. After some time, there was less rubbing on the pads, but then I could feel and hear a constant thumping under the clutch area. The wheel didn't shake, so it couldn't be anything related to alignment. The thumping would also increase the faster I drove.

I then noticed that the thumping would increase in strength when taking a left turn and decrease in strength when taking a right turn. I'm not sure what this could be, so if anyone has any ideas.

I did read on a different post that it could be the wheel weights? ....

Haha the only time my car thumped when I turned, and it was harder when I turned more was the night I nailed a curb. $1500 worth of suspension work later.. Lookin' good as new.. (stock) Did you make sure your pads settled in ok? Need to take it easy for a good 1000 miles for the pads. Make sure they're put in properly.
