So i finished changing my timing belt today (refer to z32 general topic timing belt change gone wrong). Ill try to explain in as much depth as I can from timing adjustments to the not starting deal.

Timing belt: timing belt back plate marks aligned with timing belt lines and sprocket marks. I applied the autotensioner and rotated it by hand to hear for any metal on metal madness. When rotated, the belt lines moved but the sprockets and back plate marks maintained alignment. I also used a skinny screwdriver on the #1 piston to observe the piston at TDC when marks lined up.

I then torqued all bolts removed to spec, added drive belts, installed fan, then radiator. I did not put the timing belt covers back on. I placed the PTU in a new location using the bottom screw of the fuse box and bolted it there. I reinstalled spark plugs, coil packs, and balance tube. I made sure that all connections were made. CAS, PTU, and coil pack connectors, IACV and other small one next to it. I had the battery charged because it drains out randomly (im still looking for the cause) and attempted to start the vehicle.

The first time I tried to start the car, the starter was insanely strong due to the battery being on charge, yet it did not start. I tried again with no luck. I am now stuck with no car and no clue as to why it wont start.

double check all harness connections PTU, CAS, Water temp sensors, is your PTU and PTU sub-harness new or original? very common failure if original.

Even if you a off with timing belt, it should still run, so most likely electrical

+1 on checking all connections

Make sure you aligned the timing belt lines with the gear marks, not the ones on the backing plate! Those are used as a guide only to get u close. Could be something to do with your PTU relocation as that is the only other thing changed. Did you solder a harness onÉ

yea when i set the timing belt on all indications of proper timing were met, and the tb lines lined up exactly on the gear marks and when rotated the gear marks line back up with the back plate.

would the PTU keep the car from not starting though? and no sodering yet just some edgy placement of wires around dangerous things.

^ Absolutely. It controls the coil packs. Without it functioning properly, you don't get spark. If it still doesn't fire over after cleaning all of the connectors (look for green corrosion), then you may want to narrow it down to spark/fuel. If you are sure your valve timing is right, then move on. I assume your compression is as well, but you may want to do a quick check of that too.

Pull your CAS. Pull a coil pack and spark plug. Make sure your spark plug body is grounded, not the tip of the spark plug. Turn the ignition to "on" position as where it normally is when the car is running. Turn your CAS. You should hear each one of your injectors "click" when as it turns. At some point, the coil pack should fire as well. If all of this works, then check fuel pressure. But, as Rich has stated, I suspect your problem is electrical.

i cleaned the green corrosion from the ptu connectors and rechecked the coil pack connectors. Some of the rubber seals on the coil connectors had doubled up and didnt allow proper connection. So car starts and runs fine, with an exception of running hot now. If it aint one thing its another lol

doesnt run hot anymore, however I have noticed a huge throttle response delay. Also, it has louder "head chatter", and backfires slighty even when driving. It feels like its only running on half the pistons wtf?!

Some of the connectors probably broke when you took them all off, some will need finking with to get a proper connection. Try wiggling everything with the engine running. Or you can do a power balance test to figure out which cylinders aren't firing. Pull coilpack connectors with engine running 1 at a time and make sure each one you pull drops the RPMS and they come back up when you connect it. If no RPM drop, that cylinder is not firing.
