This was the old look:

New wheels are 20x8.5/35 in the front 20x10/40 in the rear

I'll change them again in a year or so, but I think I like them for now.

yeaaahhh! The new ones are official! Looking very VIPish. I have a set of blk\chrome foose speedsters I'm thinking of putting on my M. Im thinking about having the black ones on one side and keeping the full chromes on the other side. Freak people out a little.

Sorry guys not VIPish at all. Those wheels are more EXE styling than anything. It would look 10 times better if you would have gone 10-20mm less offset though, maybe even a spacer to get them more flush.Nice car though!Cheers

Gonna have to put you in check on this one.

"VIP Style refers to the modification of Japanese luxury automobiles to make them more fashionable and even more luxurious. VIP Style are typically large, expensive, rear-wheel drive sedans....."

I think he's accomplished that with the new rims VIP is a general term, but also a subjective term. You've proven the subjective part.

check mate!!!

So paperfootball.....what did you do with the old wheels..????

Those are nice wheels. I have a friend that has those on a Cadillac STS. I liked them when he got them earlier this year and i still like 'em.

Thanks guys!

maxnix, I posted the offsets in the original post. I have no idea about the weight, or the strength. They are one piece cast wheels, so I am suspecting that they are heavy and not very strong. Who cares? I will ride them for a few months, then sell them.

I have no idea what constitutes a VIP wheel, EXE, etc. I change wheels a few times a year and just go with what I like.

I would have liked a more aggressive offset, but the wheels were not offered in anything else(in my bolt pattern).

Thanks, they 275/30 in the rear and 245/35 up front.

They don't rub at all and I am dropped on TEIN springs with about 200+ lbs of music in the trunk.

Cake- I guess you havent spent enough time over at the other forums to know what the difference is between VIP and EXE, I would suggest learning the difference between the two styles before you continue to pretend that you know.

Paper- your car looks great! sorry for ruining your thread...

OK, as for you Little Audi man. Since you are in the guessing business, why don't you guess where I got my information about "VIP"

hint:VIP section of this forum

I aint mad at'cha, but next time someone pays a compliment to someones car regarless of if you think its true/accurate or not; just bite your tounge at spare us the hate and negativity(sp) There is no need to continue making an a$$ out of yourself, so spare me/us the rebuttal.

Said the man who up until a few days ago did not know what "Flush" refers to.

Cakedaddy. I would suggest that you start taking comments at face value, not a personal attack on you. Its a show of weakness, a negative trait in a man. Laugh it off. And for Chrissake, stop peddling that "hate and negativity" phrase that you love to throw around.

Everyone at one point or other did not know something concerning a particular topic. What auditech corrected you on is actually true. If you are wrong, accept it, move on. I would suggest you read up on what is vip and what is not. Venture outside nico every once in a while, its a whole different world out there.

Sorry for ruining your thread

Hey, guys!

Let's keep it civil, please.

Personally, I am not into VIP looks, but I can appreciate the amount of effort it takes. As long as the result is not too gaudy or tacky, then feel free to proceed.

So, to the OP, I like the look of the new wheels better than the old. FWIW, my personal tastes are old-school ... I like the look of the thin BBS wire wheels, but have never wanted to spend the money to achieve that look. So, OEM wheels are what I have on my car - the money goes into tires instead!

point taken and I'll consider the above statement Oh, Im still scratching my head on the whole "flush" thing and in no way do I feel attacked and nor should anyone else on this forum and thanks for sticking up for auditech.

Now, Vip and Exe are pretty the same damn thing in my opinion, but will forever remain subjective in the eyes of many.

look here and learn whats up with VIP vs EXE. http://www.luxuryjcars.com/for...ic=34

VIP - VIP Style refers to the modification of Japanese luxury automobiles to make them more fashionable and even more luxurious. VIP Style are typically large, expensive, rear-wheel drive sedans....

EXE - Mild styling, Relaxed VIP Look, etc... ,but will remain part of the VIP family

But to stay on the topic, I like paperfootballs car with the new rims and I'll say it again... looks VIPish and thats a compliment

My work is done here. Good Night.

They are polished, definately not chrome Plus, i've seen some chrome rims that look decent, but removing the crome from those wheels would be an improvent most of the time (imo).

Machined face, black windows, with a stainless lip. :D

Thanks everyone!

No need to apologize for the debate--that's what a forum is for IMO.

Paperfootball, Do you think you could have gone 20x10.5 w/40mm offset or would that be too much.

Without the music you *might* be able to get away with it, but it will be close.
