My daughter has a 2009 Rogue AWD.

Last Summer I changed the inner and outer tierod, swaybar links, wheel bearings, and control arms.
The sleeve that covers the inner tierod came with large zip-ties.
I put them on and didn't give it a 2nd thought.

Now in hindsight, I am concerned that the zip-ties will break when it ages.
I know zipties lasts about 2-3 years in the open environment, but I am not sure how long they will last under the car (being out of the UV light).

Is it possible to use radiator hose clamps and they will hold just fine?

Worm clamps will pinch and deform the rubber. Nylon usually lasts a good long time underneath the car, but I agree that I wouldn't trust it for retaining a rack boot. Stainless zip ties are the best choice for that. Here's an example:

Stainless steel zip ties???
So simply use it just like a typical zip-tie and it will last like 10 years?

WOW, if so, I learned something new for the day!

Yep. They'll outlast the car, and no pinching. :)
