1990 KA24E

So i replaced the alternator. The battery was dead, so i got a jump just to atleast see if everything was connected and that i can move my light up properly. The lights turned on but did not go up, i pressed the pop up button a few times and nothing happed. The interior lights wont come on, and the dash doesnt even register the rpm's, or light up, the seat belts wont do anything, the alarm doesnt work, the stereo doesnt work. Wtf is going on now. I have a new battery in it right now. the car starts up and runs. i dont know if i blew some fuses, if the ECU is f***ed up, or if something just isnt connected right.

I'm not 100% sure on this one, but it sounds like it's your alternator 75A fuse in the engine bay. Replace it and the problem will probably be resolved.

you think it would be safe to drive the car to an auto shop during the day to get the fuse?

instead of paying 100$ at a shop, just spend less than 5 for fuses.

I bought a ford escort (that I am trying to sell for cheap so hit me up), the alternator went out and blew 2 fuses, I dont know how that happens but it did. Maybe the alternator surged power or something... just check fuses

If you go to the junkyard pick up a handful of fuses when you're there, for future reference. You should be able to fix the 75a fuse if it's blown.

If that is happening then a wire must be broken and touching the body or motor somewhere, you kindof have to backtrack the wire
