i was searching around for rb info cuz my car just doesnt seem to be as fast as it should be....I just had my car changed from an auto to manual. I am still on the auto ecu. It idles at about 1,000-1,100 rpm and i have good power low end, but top end sucks.

I read in a thread on NWN the following>>>

Idle speed (rpm): 800Ignition timing a/t (BTDCdegrees / rpm): 15 / 650Ignition timing m/t (BTDCdegrees / rpm): 20 / 650

could that cause my top end to lose power? can this timing be done by turning the CAS ?

i am gonna test out a MINES ecu today to see if it cures my problem, but any suggestions are welcome.

I realize my s14 is quite a bit heavier than my friends s13 with gutted interior, but his car has sr20det red top and it kills my car pretty easily.

The manual I have has the timming for the M/T at 15 and Auto at 20. I have mine set to 20 and it runs alot better than at 15.
