Hi, first of all sorry for my english, I'm writing form Italy and I have just bought a new NISSAN Murano 2010/2011 model. Here in Europe we are 1 year behind USA with MURANO model.

What I'm trying to understand is the possibility to change the backlights with the 2011/2012 model. Doing this I will have (at least externally) a model 2011/2012.

Does anyone knows if is it possible?

Thanks!

Welcome to Nico!!!

The thing to check would be the plugs.. If the body of the vehicle is the same the difference may be the plugs..

Good luck hope this helps..

The wiring may be slightly different. I know that the US 2011 models have two small bulbs plus an array of LED bulbs and I think that the 2010 ones had three bulbs and no LED's. I prefer the 2011 model year version since it looks cleaner and nicer, but doing the swap would also be slightly expensive - the taillights sell for around $275 each here in the US.

I have a broken US 2011 driver's side taillight that I replaced last year and kept it for parts. I could measure it and post pictures of the electrical connector on it if that would help.

I have an 09 LE and will be doing the new tail light retrofit this weekend if the backup lights arrive. I have already received the left and right tail lights. I will post the install and pictures when I perform the duty.
