Originally I was planning on building one giant sub for the house. A few inches thinner than this but nearly 6ft tall. *Not me in the pic*

My plans have changed since I am now living with my GF to help her out with bills and taking care of the little guy. Now most of you might all be thinking it is because my GF wont go for it, no, that's not the case. Why I'm changing my plans is because I do not want a toddler walking around bumping into it, climbing on it and possibly knocking it over. I also don't want him grabbing at the cone and stuff.

So now I have this 18" sub and no use for it.

Here it is pictured with my amp and sound processor I was going to use.I'm keeping the amp and DSP to use on my sub at home, but I either need to sell this 18" and buy a more suitable sub, or put it in my explorer...which isn't too likely.

For those that are curious (PMQ) as to what I will use for bass in my HT if I am getting rid of this ED 19Ov.2 , I am looking at different 15" drivers by TC-Sounds...If they ever get any in stock!

I may go for 2 of these TC-1000's and buy 2 more if that's not enough.

Or get one of these TC-2000's and buy a second if that's not enough.

Or get one of these TC-3000's and not buy another one cause they're freaking expensive!

The reason why I want one of these TC-Sounds drivers as opposed to what I have now, is that I can put them in a sealed enclosure about 1/3-2/5 the size of the ported enclosure I wanted to use for my eD18 and still get pretty good deep bass. Putting the 19Ov.2 in a sealed enclosure does not work too well for a HT application because its frequency response rolls off too soon for good subsonic bass. It would kick *** in a car though.

Build the sono. Strap the top to the wall. And use a steel base plate

Man that's going to look rediculous, plus moving a sonosub from house to apt to house is going to be rediculous. Everything about them, including the deep bass reproduction is rediculous!

What bugs me though are my results I'm getting in WinISD. I have my eD in a 13ft sonosub (750w) performing fairly well, then I have 2, 15" 2k's in a 12ft box (1250w), which isn't saving me any space and they're not performing as well in the 20-14hz area which is where I really want solid output and why I was wanting a huge sonosub.

Essentially, to break even with the eD sonosub in the 20-14hz area, I would need 3, 15" tc2k drivers with 6ft each and 600w each (1800w total). Granted that setup would blow that sonosub away above and below that frequency range, it would, however, cost 900.00 in drivers to do it.

Anyway, here is a pic of what I'm working with.Power used is peak power at 10hz, except for the eD which was at ~14.5hz assuming a subsonic filter is used.Yellow = 19Ov.2 in 13ft box tuned to 17hz with 750w of power.Red = 2 TC2k's, 12ft and 1250w total.Green = 2 TC1k's, 12ft and 800w total? I forgot my wattage no those.Light blue = 1 TC3k, 4 ft and 1450w of power.

As a win for the dual tc2k's, I will have less distortion, a lower group delay and more options on room placement to help with interactions and reduce nulls and standing waves.

For some reason I was wanting to not use the db-500's, but I do not remember why I wanted to omit those. I'll have to play with them in WinISD to see what's going on.

That's probably what it was. I have yet to play with them, but don't they have a Qts around .475? That's not going to help with a small enclosure which is a must
