Hmm... I've decided that I will go with the IP on Graphite (w/ chrome spoiler). I've seen some photos of it and I like the combination actually better than Blue Slate on Graphite (w/ optional spoiler). It has a sporty look but with the chrome spoiler, it seems to have a very luxurious sporty look to it. Chrome spoiler = class and white = "pimp" and sporty. That's the perfect combination for me. The car will have everything that the Blue Slate had but just without the optional spoiler (which is perfectly fine). I'm picking it up tomorrow! I will post up pictures of it if anyone is interested.

haha you couldn't wait!

Be sure you really want the IP one. Don't change from what you really want just for an extra week or two of driving.

Yimbie, whats going on man!! I thought you really liked the Blue Slate, which is an amazing color. However, Ivory Pearl is also a HOT color, but I hope that you are not doing this just because your Blue Slate has not come in yet. I know how you feel man, I am still waiting on my Platinum Graphite, but there is no way I am going to take another color just do lessen my wait. Not trying to tell you what to do, but I hope this is actually what you want, because I don't want you to regret it the first time you see a Blue Slate drive by. Either way, I better see some pics as soon as you can tear yourself away from it!!

Hey everyone. I got my ivory pearl G37. My favorite colors in order (w/out any other factors) are 1. Blue Slate 2. Ivory Pearl 3. Black Obsidian or Athens Blue. What really won me over was the look of the Ivory Pearl on chrome spoiler. I love the look of the chrome spoiler on the IP color more than the optional spoiler on the BS color. Even though Ivory Pearl is my #2 color... it's basically really the same. I will post up pics soon.

The IP with the chrome spoiler just looks like a million bucks. I am getting so many comments about mine. My only reservation is that the same thing will happen as happened to me in 2003. I choose Diamond graphite for my G35 and it seemed like half the G's sold were that color. Ther were at least 6 more in town in a couple of months and we don't even have an Infiniti dealer. Good luck with your car. It's a fantastic color.

Did you get your car from the same dealer that you had your original order placed with, or did you go to another dealer.

Slightly off topic but, assuming I end up with a G37, I am also wondering about colors. I have a red Vette now (what else?) and had a red BMW 325 before that. I have also had a couple of white cars (1990 Maxima, 1979 Supra, 1970 Roadrunner). I had a dark grey metallic Audi 5000 that looked pretty good for the car and my wife's 2000 Acura is a dark metallic blue (stays looking clean for about 5 minutes after washing).

So my inclination at this point for a G37 is either the Ivory Pearl or Vibrant Red. I am basing this only on photos as the only one I saw live was black. With all the colors I see you guys talking about how come nobody ever seems to mention the Red (a slight favorite for me but IP not far behind)?

Wait, are you saying you're a sporty, but classy, pimp?

Just joking, enjoy the car, and we'll be waiting for pictures.

Hey Doug. I am personally not a very big fan of the vibrant red color. I so far haven't seen any reds in real life. You should try to find some dealerships that have that color and look at it in person. I'm not sure if has a metallic in it since I've never seen it in person. The Ivory Pearl though is like a pearly white (ugh, sorry that's the only way i could explain it lol) with a metallic shine. It's very nice. The Blue Slate in person is gorgeous also.

lol. Unfortunately, the car doesn't help me out. lol I'm way too mellow and ummm... korean to fit the car's personality and aura. Oh well. At least the car is hot!

Actually what I am envisioning is not only the color itself but how it will look in combination with things like the wheels and chrome accents on the car as well as tinting that I would be likely to get. Being as anal as I am, I also consider how well the particular color hides touching up from nicks or scratches. For example, touch-ups on a lightish metallic paint are really difficult to hide. Of course I have been fairly lucky with my last couple of cars in that I pretty religiously only park in end spaces in a lot or try to avoid lots altogether and park on the street. Nevertheless, there always seems to be that occasional rock chip you get while driving on the freeway.
