HiTried the search button but didn't really find the answers i was looking for. Sorry if it's been covered before. I have some questions about changing the ca engine to a ka24de.1. Is the ka24de from a nissan pickup truck the same as one from a 240sx?2. Would my ca or an sr gearbox fit the ka?3. Would the ca flywheel and clutch bolt on?4. Are the engine mounts interchangeable?5. Could i use the Ca engine management? (read about someone that used the sr??)6. Does the injectors from the ca fit?

if you mean from a ca18de/det rwd to ka24de rwd, engine mounts will interchange, sort of.

they aren't meant to, the engine will sit funny. might cause problems with the transmission mount binding and the shifter will be angled funny.

Well so much for that idea then..... it will be to much work involved. The thing is that i'm from sweden and here the 240sx only came with the ca18det, so i wanted something different, but as iv'e already tuned my ca18 quite a bit it's going to be to expensive if i can't use alot of the pieces thats already on the car.

torque is cool but the KA's NA potential is well below a CA with an SR turbo running 10psi and no other mods..And would be less reliable...

But you would have torque off the line instead of at 3000rpm.

Now hang on.....

A built KA-T is a lethal engine.....

But I wouldnt swap a ka in if i allready had a CA.......

I'm really not bias I love every 240/180/Silvia engine SR/CA/KA all of them have massive potential and demand equal respect when modded properly....

He said NA KA, not KA T. I do agree with you, but if you are going to go KA T, you had better plan on all new forged internals (rods and pistons). I havent' heard about people having much success on the stock internals past 7psi.
