I think if the interior light was changed to red like the rsx, it would look alot sportier then the orange. I think it is possible but the process wont be easy...atleast not for a newb like me, id be scared of breaking my dash pieces

any of you tried or wanted to do this? any info would be nice

thanks

This would be QUITE a project. More than what its worth IMO. You'd have to take everything apart and change the LED which would probably involve soldering etc. Most of them you probably would have the hardest time getting access to them.

i saw a picture of someone's dash taken apart to show the number of leds you would have to change out and it wasn't pretty.

http://www.scionlife.com/forum...37747that would give you an idea of what to do. but the problem is that the trip computer is ORANGE!!! it would look very ockward to have everything red and then ORANGE trip computer.

EDIT: I HAVE AN IDEA. I CANT BELIEVE I HAVEN'T THOUGH OF IT!!!!!!!!!! USE RED VINYL TO COVER THE TRIP COMPUTER, IT WILL GET RID OF THE orange!!!!!!

Then you just might as well do a transparent red tinted overlay on the clear plastic shield of the gauge cluster.

In all seriousness... its not as difficult as i think you guys are making it out to be... this is just something you guys are not used to.... For 50 bucks, you can get yourself a bunch of boards to learn how to solder on... and then step up to the big show... im comfortable soldering (and ive only done it a half dozen times, mod chips for xbox!)... Its taking the whole dash off and putting it back on that scares me

soldering is easy... the hard part is taking everthing apart and putting things back in....and the tight spaces to change bulbs(?) its not something i would risk on my new alti

LBC, trust me, taking the dash apart is NOT as difficult as it looks either!

Yeah yeah yeah... i saw that pic of your install.... i think i would have passed out... Its funny how some people are comfortable doing some things rather than others... Im not concerned with taking the dash off... but rather putting it back together that scares me
