I want to use one of these oil filter relocation Housings (OBX, Stance, Tomei), to replace my leaking Summit spin-on plate on the OEM adapter housing. These adapter housings replace the OEM housing on the block entirely and have integral AN-line fittings for oil filter relocation. But they come with 10-AN fittings.

I already have my oil filter relocated and oil cooler hung with 8-AN lines. The Circuit Sports adapter housing with 8-An fittings is no longer made. Does anyone have/seen/know if it is possible and practical to change the 10-An fittings to 8-An on these?

wow, that is awesome! I ordered the OBX adapter housing with 10-an lines. If I can't swap 'em, i'm gonna try a 10-8 An converter connection. I can't weld anything like that.

Got the OBX oil adapter housing today. Anyone have a guess what size 8an fitting will go in here? I have the standard 1/2 inch hose size and it does not.

I am surprised that it doesn't use 1/2" NPT fittings. Take it to a local hose shop?

i'm surprised too. Local shop hooked me up; it's a 3/8 npt. I'm good to go now.

I think I know now why the aftermarket does't support selling the housing with -8 AN fittings anymore... Based on articles I've read, it is better to use -10 AN hose instead of -8 AN for oil coolers (more capacity, less pressure). Too late for me...

This was the discussion posted a while back on FreshAlloy comparing the Tomei -10AN block to the Circuit Sports -8AN block. Article here--> http://www.nicoclub.com/forums...82205

Basically he says that though the Tomei uses larger AN fittings, the two units have the same restriction .400.

@almost heaven:
the left fitting doesnt look like npt.... that looks more like 3/8" BSP.
