While taking the Q out for her excersise on Sunday I had a guy in a Yellow IS300 with exhaust rims and a nice spoiler kit pull up on my drivers side, he gave me the thumbs up and so I waved back,I could tell he had down shifted and wanted to race I was not interested my gas, after about a minute a spray painted CRX pulls up on my left side now we are coming up 84 east thru E.Hartford CT , the highway goes like 5 lanes deep so we had some room, the CRX hit it first then me and the IS got into it, the Lexus was a slug the CRX was a little faster but by the time I hit 140 those 2 little rice rockets were a 1/4 mile back,I slowed down and here comes the CRX again, this time I think he juiced me because he hung around a little longer and I could smell the nitrous, he put a car on me from almost 80 because the Q stayed in drive, but as soon as she came into her sweet spot I kicked his butt again, the kid followed me onto 291, this is a nice 2 lane low traffic highway, he tried once more and the outcome was the same, He motioned for me to pull over and asked what the hell had I done the big boat and what the hell is a Q45 Type S, (I put a little emblem on after the Q45 emblem, looks cool) I told him thats how it came from the factory minus the exhaust, he said he had a Vtech swap a B16 with cams and a head job with a 50 shot, I told him his 112 ft lbsof tourque would not cut it even though he had good HP, he shook my hand a got in his car drove off with is tail between his legs because an old man in a 4 door with a baby seat in the back kicked his a$%. :D

Good runs! :thumbup

Those IS300's are disappointing. I was hanging with one in my sister's banged up Camry. Nice cars but they need some more muscle under the hood. Just be careful, IS300's with Supra swaps are becoming more common nowadays. With a Supra motor and upraded to a big single turbo and not many big-engined sports cars could hang with those.

They are a little weak but still fun little cars, love the interior design and fit/finish. Puts the G35 to shame in that department. Steering feels great too.

I might consider buying one used if the price is under $20K. The backseat is useless but I'll just consider it a coupe that happens to have 4 doors.

I also LOVE their looks especially the interior..But I also actively seek them out for a little *** kicking.Whenever I am next to one, I speed up to see if they would give chase, am liek that with LS400 and 740i as well.

Fred....:)

I agree , they are nice looking cars very sweet interior, but they do need more HP, a Supra swap is definatley the way to go with that car, but just like Palmer said, I pick on those just like I try to egg on the LS 400 guys. :D
