Chain guides... how to remove oil pump chain?

Sorry for the stupid question... but, i can't figure out how to remove the oil pump chain. In the Tangalora's write up on the topic of doing chain guides she posts the following...

I am looking at this and can't get it through my dumb skull. I took off the guide, but don't see how to remove the chain without removing the drivers side sprocket. Any hints on how to remove the chain and chain sprocket?
