Would it be at all possible to swap a 94 hood into a 91 q45?

What all would be involved?

I was just wondering cos I think the 94 hood looks much better than the 91.

That was a question another Q owner had a while back. Seems there's more to change than the hood, bumper and more.. But I can only relay what was reported ( on Yahoo if I remember correctly) ...:thumbup

fender, bumper, hood maybe lights too.

A lot of us 1st gen owners ask ourselves this question.. But some prefer the old style, two camps.

Not cheap, unless maybe you have cheap access to a wreck.

Fred...:)

You really have to compare the two side-by-side with the hood up to see what you're up against.

It would probably be cheaper to buy a '94-'96 Q and just drive that when the '91 bites the dust.

The whole front clip would hafta be replaced.

EVEN THEN, the trim on the fenders wouldn't match up with the doors. Plus, the front wheelwells wouldn't match the design of the rear wheelwells.

The grilled Q's gettin' some love... WOO HOO! (Y'all all secretly wish your Q had a grille...:D)

somebody ask the same q on old board so here the reply.I have seen 2 90Q with 94 front end.it was done right so i could not tell it was 94 q with 90 engine .one of them even chagned the seats ,console too.both owners put cost around 2k.but there is lot more involve than hood, fender bumper.there are lot of small plastic pieces that are pain in the a$$ to put together, and something about lights too.one complain that was it made nose heavy ,espacially when u braking .one guy was using 265/17 tires on 90 style and looked good but when changed to 94 front they looked too wide so he changed to 245/17.when u start changing looks on ur car or upgrading to serious mods there is always somebody out there who will do it for u just remember money is the name of the game

Hey, stick with the Elvis Belt-buckle. Be unique. Less chrome for the bugs to get lodged in too.
