thats why you should save that $200 and invest in some stillen headerskyle@stillen wrote:Hey Guys,
Just thought I'd jump in and clarify something real quick. Unless your hood is steel you will unlikely see any gains from the weight of a carbon fiber hood. Unless of course you're using a dry carbon fiber hood in which case you'll be spending alot more than $200.00.
I believe the Altima coupe hood is aluminum so I would be very surprised if a carbon fiber hood was lighter. In fact, in most cases I've seen on the Z's and G's. The CF hoods were actually heavier than factory, they just looked cool.
all i want is the aggressive look so if this one isnt cheap enough than ill go get the ones with the ventskyle@stillen wrote:Hey Guys,

"we made them here in canada and we sell to many nissan dealers over here. they fit. we also made hoods for porsche, aston martin, mercedes, bmw so to make nissan hood is too easy.thanks"
I forgot to mention...I LOVE the look of carbon fiber. I just saw a post that mentioned light weight and wanted to jump in with an opinion on the matter.PhEnoM78 wrote:

I'm gonna have to scream "NO" on this one. With an overlay, you get true depth to the finished product. Have you ever seen CF in real life? It's nice and deep and glossy and the patterns sort of "shift" as light hits it differently. That's because you're using a real textured fabric with several layers of resin on top. I think that'd be very hard to duplicate on a vinyl overlay...which, really, is just a big 'ol sticker...Blackmobile wrote:so since the stock hood is in all likelihood lighter than a cf hood, what are peoples opinions on a cf vinyl overlay? it seems kind of "fake", ok maybe really fake, but in terms of look and weight reduction then it maybe a good option, as long as it's a good quality vinyl then it might be something to think about.
f*** that! My car would still be stock. Much more respect given to Canadians for your money invested. ( even though as an American, I have still spent a ridiculous amount myself)ESP wrote:
To all Americans: Now you know how we feel buying ANYTHING from you. Don't complain about $180 for shipping something as large as a hood... My splitter cost almost $150 to ship...my hood was over $350...
Holy f*ck I'm in a pissy mood tonight........
agreed 10x over lolBmore-coupe wrote:
