Certified Infiniti Corporate Car - what is it?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I'm shopping for a 2008 EX35 and have found several listed as "Certified Infiniti Corporate car!! The next owner receives a 72-Month/100,000 highly comprehensive warranty from the original in-service date..."

Does anyone know what a "corporate car" is? Was it a loaner at the dealership and driven hard?

Thanks,

John

I think it was a company owned vehicle that they no longer need, so they're just selling it.if i had to guess it was an errand car.

corporate cars companies that buy cars for their employees to use for commutes etc etc. They are usually leased at a very very cheap price to the company, and then when the term is up, infiniti will resell it.

generally tho, these types of finds are hit and miss, it really depends on who was driving it

That's unusual. Mostly you see these cars a lot in Tennessee and Georgia since Nissan is headquartered in Tennessee.

I bought one before and it was in great condition and I haven't had any issues. I would recommend getting it independently inspected though - I don't trust Infiniti dealers and an inspection can be done for $100 which is a cheap price for peace of mind.

What I was told by a dealer:

"This is a special deal; cars that are leased short term to corporate customers (including Nissan) are 'bought back' by infiniti dealers; other dealers cant buy them. We get the cream of the crop"

What I think:

Auction cars with low mileage, returns on short term lease like many other cars. Perhaps leased internally (infiniti/nissan) perhaps not. In any event another angle to add a price premium.

Bottom line: pick the car you're interested in based on your criteria (mileage, overall condition, options etc.) and get an independent inspection. Remember that even a certified pre-owned car is inspected by the person selling it to you....

I had some very good advice from another forum member; use the internet (carfax, kbb, dealer inventory etc.) and work the details. Don't even talk to a dealer unless you know exactly which vehicle you want and a fair market value price.

I agree that calling this used car something special is just a gimmick to add a price premium. Buyer beware and get an inspection.
